Grace NotesThis Sunday’s Worship Lyrics

PRAYER NEEDS FROM THIS PAST SUNDAY: Mrs. Billie Green for healing; David Grafton for direction and strength to obey; and Pete Cox for safety and protection for him and his employees at Lakeside Services.

Our Church of the Week prayer focus is Grace Baptist Church on Highway 699.

NO YOUTH FRIDAY NITE ALIVE THIS WEEK!  Reminder to youth - we will be ministering at Gleaning for the World on Friday morning, July 25th from 9:30-12:00For more info on this ministry visit www.gftw.org.

GRADUATION: Sam Brandenberger completed basic training with the Coast Guard this week, and now moves on to advanced training.  Continue to pray for Sam and Bailey with Sam's training, their separation, and a new one on the way!

CHILDREN OF GRACE MINISTRY:  Beginning in August, our Children of Grace ministry headed by David and Jodie Sage will begin a catechism class for the children who attend from ages 4-9.  We would like to make this training time a building block for parents to use in teaching their children foundational truths of the faith, so we will be providing 'homework' materials that can be used during the week to help the kids develop a sure foundation that will be invaluable as they grow and by God's grace come to know Him in a personal relationship.  See David with any questions you may have about the new curriculum!

SPECIAL SPEAKER: Steve Levinson, a teacher and speaker from North Carolina, will be speaking at GCC on Sunday morning, August 10th.  Steve shares about the relevance of Genesis to the entire story of history and divine redemption, as well as lessons that the fossil record and our earth itself teach us about God.  Invite a friend to come hear Steve on this special day.  A love offering will be taken for Steve during the service, so please come prepared to bless him and his family!  For more information on Steve's ministry, visit www.campgetaway.org.

COMMUNION:  We will be celebrating the Lord's Table as a congregation on Sunday night, August 3rd, with a fellowship meal from 6:15-7:00 pm and communion from 7:00-8:00 pm.  For the meal, please bring a side dish or salad to complement the chicken that will be provided.  Starting this fall, we will be sharing communion on a monthly basis, on the first Sunday evening of each month - usually preceded by a church dinner.   Jim and Ruth Clapper are the new communion coordinators for this special evening of remembrance, prayer, and celebration.

NEW MINISTRY:  Kerry Michael of our fellowship is undergoing training in biblical counseling in order to prepare for his calling as a Christian counselor.  As we begin to develop the foundation of what may by God's grace become a counseling center for the church and community, Kerry will be available for biblical guidance and help to those in the body who may desire it.  Beginning on July 23rd, Kerry will be able to schedule sessions in the evening each Wednesday for a small number of counselees.  This new ministry will be under the oversight of the GCC leadership, and we ask you to bathe it in prayer as well, that souls will be healed and strengthened by the Lord through brother Kerry.  If you have questions about this ministry, please feel free to call Kerry at 309-9942.  To learn more about the biblical counseling we will be conducting, visit the following links: www.nanc.org and www.ccef.org.
